The water of this river takes its source and meanders in the heart of 3 big parks of Ecuador (Sumaco, Cayambe-Coca and Antisana).
The region is famous for its biodiversity and its incredible birds!
The Quijos River is well known to kayakers and whitewater sports enthusiasts as it hosted the World Rafting Championships in 2005.
This package offers the possibility to see both sections of rafting on the Quijos River. It is a long day reserved for sportsmen who want to go for the whole thing !
The first few kilometers of the river allow the crew to warm up well for this long section of sport river composed of dozens of continuous rapids, each more interesting than the last.
Between the launch on the Cosanga River and the confluence with the Oyacachi River, the crew will be impressed by the different landscapes, the gradual increase in the intensity of the rapids and the change in climate (250m of difference in altitude!)
Action, stunning scenery and complete lunch included.
Too high a flow rate could require the cancellation of the rafting descent. Other alternative options could be proposed in this case. The activity is refunded if the water level does not allow it to take place safely.
