The water of this river takes its source and meanders in the heart of 3 big parks of Ecuador (Sumaco, Cayambe-Coca and Antisana).

The region is famous for its biodiversity and its incredible birds!

The Quijos River is well known to kayakers and whitewater sports enthusiasts as it hosted the World Rafting Championships in 2005.

The first few kilometers of the river allow the crew to warm up well for this long section of sport river composed of dozens of continuous rapids, each more interesting than the last.

Between the launch near the village of Borja, and the confluence with the Oyacachi River, the crew will be impressed by the different landscapes and the gradual increase in the intensity of the rapids.

This 18 km section will certainly impress you with its beauty, its technical rapids like the Toro, or its dreamy canyon! Action, beautiful scenery and meals included.

Action, stunning scenery and basic lunch included.

Too high a flow rate could require the cancellation of the rafting descent. Other alternative options could be proposed in this case. The activity is refunded if the water level does not allow it to take place safely.
